Who Should Attend
The objective of this event is to begin bridging the gulf that currently exists between the current developers/users of Social Media tools and those organizations that have not yet adopted those tools. Each group has much to learn from the other, and a conversation is the best way to begin to build that bridge. So there are really two audiences for this event:
- People that are currently familiar with Social Media, and want to see it used more effectively in professional and organizational settings.
- People that do not currently use Social Media, but have heard from friends and main stream media that it may be of benefit to their organization.
So let’s start a conversation…

Last week the progressive political blog BlueNC held the FIRST North Carolina online gubernatorial debate. Before that they’ve had live blogging by Elizabeth Edwards (wife of Presidential candidate and US Senator John Edwards), US Senate candidate Jim Neal, a ton of candidates, etc. etc. In a few short years this site has become THE online destination for NC state politics. No matter your political persuasion.
On April 27 they are holding a BBQ Blogger bash. Its open to the public and several political candidates will be in attendance. Come meet folks and learn about the person that could be your next Governor, Lt. Governor, Judge, State Treasurer, and US Senator.
This event is on the Social Carolina Google calendar.
Where: 451 Lakeshore Lane, Chapel Hill, NC
When: Sunday, April 27, 3 to 6pm
Details: A $10 charge to help cover the barbecue & beer. Candidates free.
