DT026 – BE in Building Services Engineering at Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT)

The buildings in which we live and work are responsible for about half our energy use. This energy use contributes to the CO2 [greenhouse gas] emissions, which affect our environment. Building Services Engineers together with architects can design environmentally-friendly buildings. Buildings Services Engineers are responsible for the design and installation of the many mechancial and electrical systems that make our buildings work. These systems include heating, air-conditioning, refrigeration, fire protection, power, lighting and data communication systems. Creating energy efficient and environmentally friendly buildings that will last for many years makes for a rewarding career. This is a four years honours degree programme. http://www.dit.ie/study/undergraduate/programmes/dt026/
